Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Implement client service processes for each of your accounts; oversee adherence to processes and controls.
Oversee staff performing AP data entry and import; review, verify, and confirm accuracy and completeness of data based on source documents and system outputs, identify root causes of discrepancies, and provide actionable feedback to improve team performance and processes.
Perform joint interest billing processes ensuring accuracy and completeness with the controller and client.
Plan and manage service delivery for multiple clients, independently and autonomously.
Lead month-end close activities end-to-end, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, complete, and ready for review, while managing timelines across multiple clients.
Undertakes primary responsibility for day-to-day communication & problem resolution.
Reconciles bank accounts monthly and performs account reconciliations.
Prepares journal entries and supporting documentation, prepares fixed asset depreciation schedules, and performs other routine accounting functions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in professional accounting functions, including at least 2 years in the upstream oil and gas industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role mentoring and counseling associates.
Strong knowledge of upstream oil and gas accounting concepts related to the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows is required.
Experience with Sage Intacct, PakEnergy and/or Quorum On Demand and/or Enertia and/or Bolo accounting software
Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills (MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Ability to work in a cross-functional, rapidly changing, deadline-driven environment serving multiple clients.
Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities appropriately.
Ability to quickly learn innovative technology and processes, think analytically and solve problems, work collaboratively as a team player while diving into details, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
