Job Description: Job Title: Senior Functional Analyst, AS Location: Pune, India Corporate Title: AS Role Description Responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes: Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals   Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank. . Work closely with Business stakeholders to understand functional needs and translate them into detailed system, data, and integration specifications. Partner with Architecture, Data Engineering, and wider IT Delivery teams to define feasible and scalable solution designs. Conduct data discovery and end‑to‑end impact analysis across enterprise banking platforms and upstream/downstream systems. Produce and maintain essential delivery artefacts, including: Functional Specifications Data Mapping Documents Data Dictionaries Transformation Logic Definitions Support solution implementation across enterprise data platforms such as Oracle and Google Cloud Platform. Drive cross‑team alignment to ensure requirement clarity, technical feasibility, and predictable delivery Contribute to system integration testing, UAT, and validation of solutions against defined business and technical requirements. Define, implement, and monitor appropriate data quality controls and governance mechanisms. Investigate and resolve functional and data issues across enterprise databases and source systems, including missing or erroneous data. Support change management activities and ensure full traceability of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle. Your skills and experience Demonstrated experience as a Techno‑Functional Analyst within IT or enterprise data platform environments. Strong understanding of Data Warehousing principles, data modelling, and large‑scale integration patterns. Hands‑on proficiency in SQL, with working knowledge of PL/SQL. Technical expertise across programming and data processing stacks, including PL/SQL, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Composer, Airflow, Dataproc/PySpark, and query tuning/optimisation. Experience working with cloud‑based data platforms such as: Google BigQuery CloudSQL or equivalent cloud database technologies Good knowledge of banking products, processes, and functional flows within the Wealth Management domain. Familiarity with client and account reference data models, as well as transactional data structures. Experience with core banking platforms such as Avaloq (or comparable systems). Ability to produce detailed techno‑functional documentation, including requirements, data mapping specifications, and transformation logic. Proven experience delivering in cross‑functional environments across Business, Technology, Data Engineering, and Architecture teams. Strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
