Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical execution for Solar EPC projects across Ramagundam and Telangana The role involves end-to-end responsibility for installation, testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization of solar power systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to ensure project delivery within timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Project Execution & Leadership
Lead and manage all electrical activities across solar project sites.
Oversee installation of PV modules, inverters, SCBs, transformers, HT/LT panels, and switchyard equipment.
Supervise site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely execution.
Drive performance and accountability across electrical teams.
2. Technical Expertise & Engineering Oversight
Review electrical designs, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and BOQs.
Ensure correct implementation of protection systems, earthing, and lightning protection.
Provide technical guidance and resolve complex site issues.
Optimize electrical system design and execution for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
3. Testing, Commissioning & Grid Synchronization
Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of solar plants.
Ensure proper testing of inverters, transformers, cables, and protection systems.
Manage grid synchronization activities in coordination with DISCOM and regulatory bodies.
Ensure systems operate as per design parameters and performance guarantees.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Establish and enforce quality control procedures for all electrical works.
Ensure compliance with national electrical standards, grid codes, and safety regulations.
Conduct audits, inspections, and ensure documentation of all quality checks.
Maintain all statutory approvals, test reports, and certifications.
5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Promote and enforce strict adherence to electrical safety practices.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Ensure implementation of HSE policies and zero-incident work culture.
Train site teams on electrical safety and best practices.
6. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, procurement, and planning teams for integrated execution.
Liaise with clients, consultants, DISCOM authorities, and vendors.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely communication on project progress.
Handle escalations and ensure quick resolution of issues.
7. Project Planning & Monitoring
Develop detailed electrical execution plans and schedules.
Track project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
Identify risks, delays, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare MIS reports, progress dashboards, and performance metrics.
8. Material & Resource Management
Plan and manage procurement and utilization of electrical materials.
Ensure timely availability and quality of materials at site.
Optimize manpower deployment and equipment usage.
Control wastage and improve resource efficiency.
9. Cost Control & Financial Oversight
Monitor and control project costs related to electrical scope.
Ensure execution within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support billing processes, contractor certification, and cost reporting.
Maintain financial discipline across project execution.
10. Documentation & Contract Management
Ensure proper documentation of drawings, approvals, and reports.
Verify contractor bills and compliance with contractual terms.
Support preparation of as-built drawings and project closure documents.
Maintain audit-ready documentation and transparency.
