Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to support the execution of Solar EPC projects across Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance support of electrical systems including solar PV modules, inverters, transformers, and associated infrastructure. The role requires strong technical knowledge and coordination skills to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Installation & Site Execution
Supervise installation of solar PV systems including modules, inverters, string combiner boxes (SCBs), and LT/HT panels.
Ensure proper cable laying, termination, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for integrated execution of project activities.
Monitor daily site activities and ensure adherence to project timelines.
2. Technical Expertise & System Implementation
Interpret electrical drawings, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), and technical specifications.
Ensure proper installation and configuration of inverters, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
Assist in system design optimization and troubleshooting during execution.
Ensure compliance with grid connectivity and DISCOM requirements.
3. Testing, Commissioning & Synchronization
Perform pre-commissioning checks and testing of electrical systems.
Support synchronization of solar plant with the grid.
Ensure all systems are functioning as per design parameters and safety norms.
Coordinate with authorities for inspections and approvals prior to commissioning.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all electrical works meet project quality standards and specifications.
Conduct inspections and testing to maintain quality control.
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
Maintain test reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards and procedures.
Identify hazards and implement preventive measures to avoid accidents.
Conduct safety briefings and ensure proper use of PPE at site.
Promote a strong safety culture across teams.
6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with internal teams such as civil, procurement, and planning.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and consultants for smooth execution.
Act as a point of contact for electrical-related site activities.
Support client interactions and resolve technical queries.
7. Planning & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Track project schedules and highlight delays or risks.
Maintain documentation including DPRs, logs, and installation reports.
Provide updates to project management on key milestones.
8. Material & Resource Management
Monitor electrical material requirements and ensure availability at site.
Verify material quality and specifications upon delivery.
Optimize usage of materials and manpower to reduce wastage.
Maintain inventory records and stock accuracy.
9. Cost Control & Documentation
Assist in monitoring project costs related to electrical works.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources within budget.
Support contractor billing, measurement verification, and documentation.
Maintain records for audits and project closure.
