Reporting to the Senior Manager based in Germany and work closely with local Laboratory Operations Manager
Qualifications
Evaluate and approve test reports, measurement results, and technical documentation.
Assess test setups, measuring equipment, and procedures for compliance with standards.
Advise customers on standard requirements and safety-related questions.
Laboratory auditing: Conduct lab inspections and audits according to normative requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable qualification
5 years of professional experience in electrical safety testing / product safety compliance
Strong, hands-on expertise in the following standards: IEC/EN 60335-1, IEC/EN 60598, IEC/EN 62368-1
Proven experience planning, executing, and evaluating standards-based safety tests (e.g., hipot/dielectric strength, insulation resistance, leakage/touch current, protective earth continuity, temperature measurements, creepage and clearance distances, single-fault condition testing)
Ability to review product design and technical documentation (schematics, PCB/layout, BOM, safety-critical components, insulation coordination) and drive design-for-compliance improvements
Experience creating test plans, test reports, and technical justifications (e.g., deviations/non-conformities, risk assessments)
Structured, independent working style with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (R&D, Quality, external labs/certification bodies)
Fluent in English; German is a plus (depending on the environment)
Nice-to-have: experience with CB Scheme, certification processes, audits, and additional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61010-1)
