Job Purpose:
To support and drive sales of Extra High Voltage (EHV) and Ultra High Voltage (UHV) transformers , targeting utilities, EPCs, and industrial clients. The role involves handling technical discussions, bidding processes, and managing key customer accounts to achieve business growth in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the complete sales cycle for EHV/UHV transformer projects – from lead generation to order closure.
Work with key clients including PGCIL, state transmission utilities, private EPCs, and large industrial customers.
Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers in response to RFQs and tenders.
Conduct technical discussions, clarification meetings, and commercial negotiations with clients.
Liaise with engineering, planning, and project management teams to ensure alignment between client requirements and internal capabilities.
Keep track of upcoming projects, tenders, and industry developments related to EHV/UHV transmission.
Maintain CRM entries, project pipeline, and regular sales reporting to management.
Provide post-order support in coordination with execution teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Qualifications:
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 6 years of sales experience in the power sector, with a focus on transformers.
Industry Exposure:
Strong familiarity with tendering and procurement processes of transmission utilities (e.g., PGCIL, SEBs), consultants, and EPCs
Key Skills:
Good technical knowledge of EHV and UHV transformer products
Strong communication and customer-handling skills
Proficiency in technical and commercial bid preparation
Experience with CRM and MS Office tools
Ability to travel frequently for customer meetings and project pursuits
