POSITION SUMMARY:
BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a
Senior Digital Matte Painting (DMP) Artist
as a full-time
Permanent
role. The position is based out of
Chennai .
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing highly realistic matte paintings that seamlessly integrate with live-action footage or CG elements.
Creating visually stunning compositions while applying a deep understanding of color theory and perspective.
Employing advanced 2D and 2.5D projection techniques to achieve realistic depth in digital environments.
Collaborating closely with the Compositing, 3D, and other 2D departments to ensure artistic consistency.
Working within Nuke compositing software to implement matte paintings into the final production pipeline.
Utilizing Shotgrid (Shotgun) daily for effective project management, task tracking, and asset organization.
Managing individual workflows effectively to meet strict project deadlines within a high-pressure environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working on high-end film or episodic TV VFX projects.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Photoshop with a strong portfolio showcasing realistic environment creation.
Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of DMP workflows, including sophisticated 2.5D projection setups in Nuke.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Shotgrid (Shotgun) for asset tracking and production management.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.
Soft Skills: Strong time management abilities and a dedication to delivering high-quality visual work under deadlines.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of composition principles, lighting, and cinematic storytelling.
