About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer to join our Nordics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and workflows that support critical business reporting and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines: Build resilient, maintainable data ingestion and transformation workflows with version control, testing, and observability.
· Data transformation with DBT: Develop modular, well-documented dbt models, tests, and exposures; enforce coding and documentation standards.
· Advanced SQL and data modeling: Write optimized SQL and design star/snowflake models and data marts that power analytics and self-service BI.
· Data quality and governance: Implement tests, SLAs, data contracts, and lineage; ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with policies.
· Collaboration and stakeholder engagement: Gather requirements with analysts and business teams; translate needs into technical designs and delivery plans.
· Best practices and documentation: Establish reusable patterns, contribute to coding guidelines, and maintain high-quality technical documentation and runbooks.
· Monitoring and reliability: Set up monitoring, alerting, and pipeline observability; troubleshoot incidents and drive root-cause analysis and prevention.
· Domain data handling: Work with large healthcare/pharma datasets (commercial, sales) with appropriate controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· >5 years of experience in a Data Engineering or similar role.
· Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
· Hands-on experience with Python for data manipulation and scripting.
· Experience working with DBT .
· Prior experience with commercial pharma and pharma datasets required
· Proven experience with Amazon Redshift (schema design, performance optimization).
· Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
· Natural curiosity and the ability to develop solutions based on high-level guidance
Preferred Qualifications:
· Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
· Knowledge of CI/CD practices in data engineering.
