Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of exceptional Android applications that enhance road safety and rider experience. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our mobile applications and integrating them with our smart helmet Technology.
Responsibilities;
Develop, test, and maintain robust Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
Build efficient and reusable codebases, adhering to modern architecture patterns like MVVM.
Implement custom UI components and animations to enhance the user experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver exceptional quality and stakeholder experiences.
Quickly prototype new ideas, technologies, and designs for proof of concept.
Optimize application performance, usability, and scalability.
Integrate apps with external devices, internal hardware, and communication services.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Contribute to the product roadmap by understanding customer needs and prioritizing features.
Integrate apps with external devices using Bluetooth/BLE protocols.
Implement location tracking, geofencing, and activity recognition using Google APIs or equivalent tools.
Optimize app performance for hardware communication and low latency.
Explore emerging Android development trends (e.g., Jetpack Compose) to improve app quality and efficiency.
Work closely with embedded engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
Required Qualifications;
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Android app development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality applications.
Strong expertise in Kotlin (primary) and Java programming languages.
Deep understanding of Android SDKs, Jetpack libraries, and modern architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
Experience integrating apps with Bluetooth/BLE devices and other hardware components.
Proficiency in working with Google APIs (e.g., Maps API, Activity Recognition API).
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs integration using Retrofit or equivalent libraries.
Hands-on experience with database solutions like Room Database or SQLite.
Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger/Hilt.
Experience with performance optimization tools like Android Profiler or Firebase Performance Monitoring.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.

Languages: Kotlin (Primary), Java.
Frameworks/Libraries: Jetpack Compose, Retrofit, Dagger/Hilt.
Bluetooth/BLE: Core Bluetooth APIs.
