The Junior Finance Analyst supports Global Practices Finance in executing core operational finance tasks, ensuring timely monthly reporting, accurate data preparation, and smooth financial processes across cost centres. The role provides foundational support for budget and forecast cycles through data preparation and preliminary analysis.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Budgeting & Forecasting Support
Prepare underlying datasets required for budget and forecast reporting packs.
Update trackers and standard reports with actuals/forecast data.
Perform initial variance comparisons and highlight anomalies for Senior FBP review.
2. Month‑End / Monthly Reporting
Liaison between business and operational finance colleagues to identify, communicate and review month end income and cost accrual journals
Preparation of the monthly reporting packs including variances analysis and meaningful commentary
Preparation of data for month-end journals and reports.
3. Spend Monitoring & Reporting
Ongoing close monitoring and management of spend, providing regular reports and insights
Chase POs, ICPA submissions, and other operational finance documentation.
Maintain spend trackers and highlight exceptions for review.
2. T&E Pre‑Approval and Compliance Support
Perform initial T&E financial checks and validations via the shared mailbox.
Compile travel‑related data and prepare summaries for FBP review.
4. Reporting & Data Preparation
Run standard recurring financial reports to support Senior FBP.
Prepare underlying datasets and structured files for dashboards, automation, or reporting enhancements.
6. Process & Automation Support
Execute repeatable components of automation workflows (data collation, file preparation).
Support testing and maintenance of automated reporting solutions.
