About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with proven expertise in
US accounting standards (GAAP) and hands-on experience with a range of accounting
software, including QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial
reporting, month-end close, compliance, and managing complex transactions across multiple
entities and currencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Compliance:
● Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and bank
reconciliations.
● Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensure accurate and timely
reporting.
● Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IRS regulations, and local state tax laws.
● Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting
schedules.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
● Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc financial
analyses.
● Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
● Support internal and external audits; ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
Software & Systems Management:
● Maintain accounting records using QuickBooks (Online & Desktop).
●Use other accounting and productivity tools such as:
○ NetSuite
○ Zoho Books
○ SAP Business One
○ Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (advanced level)
○ Bill.com for accounts payable automation
○ Gusto / ADP / Paychex for payroll processing
○ Expensify / Ramp / Brex for expense management
○ Avalara or Tax Jar for sales tax compliance
○ Stripe / PayPal / Shopify / Amazon Seller Central (if applicable)
Team Collaboration & Process Improvement:
● Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy.
● Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations, HR) for financial
integration.
● Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements; implement best
practices in financial controls and reporting.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CA or equivalent
preferred).
● 7+ years of accounting experience with 2+ years US-based or US GAAP-compliant
accounting.
● Deep familiarity with QuickBooks and other modern accounting platforms.
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
● Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
● Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting.
● E-commerce or SaaS business exposure.
