seeking
a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our
Payments
Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of
Revenue, Payments & Technical Accounting
, this role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about process improvement, automation, and technical excellence.
This role focuses on Blackbaud’s FinTech business and includes both
the accounting
for high volume transactions and technical review of partner,
customer
and supplier arrangements for
appropriate accounting
treatment.
What you'll do:
Lead and execute monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting deliverables, and analytical reviews.
Perform daily and monthly platform to processor reconciliations and analysis for Blackbaud’s various
Payments
solutions.
Perform and document SOX controls related to accounting and reporting processes, including designing new processes and controls to support business or systems changes.
Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance with quarterly and annual audit requirements.
Develop, review, and update standard operating procedures for accounting processes and tasks.
Partner with cross-functional teams—including product, finance, and engineering—to streamline accounting workflows
and implement
or
support
automation.
Partner with cross functional teams to review new
go to
market offers and new arrangements with partners, customers, and suppliers for
appropriate accounting
treatment
.
Propose accounting operations to support those arrangements as needed.
Research and prepare technical accounting analyses, with a focus on US GAAP and ASC 606 compliance.
What you'll bring:
5+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience; Big 4 audit experience preferred.
Undergraduate
degree in
Accounting
.
Payments or technology industry experience preferred.
Fluency in US GAAP and ability to research complex accounting issues, especially ASC 606.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated drive for excellence.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a proven
track record
of effective collaboration in team and matrixed environments.
Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced
proficiency
in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
; experience
with Workday, Blackline, Hyperion, Stripe,
Alteryx
and large data sets is highly desirable.
