About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
Medior SDET
with strong hands-on skills in
Playwright automation
along with solid
manual testing expertise
. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical abilities, a strong understanding of testing concepts, and the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams. This hybrid role is based in Bengaluru and offers the opportunity to work on high-quality engineering deliverables within an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain
automation test scripts
using
Playwright
(JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
Perform
manual functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
as needed.
Build and enhance automation frameworks aligned with project requirements.
Understand product workflows and create comprehensive
test scenarios, test cases, and test data
.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA to ensure high-quality releases.
Participate in requirement analysis, sprint discussions, and test planning activities.
Execute test cases, log defects, and track them to closure with proper documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
4–7 years
of total experience in QA, with a mix of
Automation (Playwright)
and
Manual Testing
.
Strong hands-on experience in
Playwright
using JavaScript or TypeScript.
Solid understanding of
SDLC, STLC
, and testing methodologies.
Experience writing detailed test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.
Good knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
Familiarity with version control systems like
Git
.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good to Have
Exposure to other automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
Basic understanding of SQL for backend data validation.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Knowledge of performance testing concepts (not mandatory).
