Senior Development Engineer-|| Full-Time Bangalore 3-8 Years Be A Part Of Emversity - An Education That Earns About Emversity We, at Emversity, are building India’s first ‘Asset Light University’ - a full stack employability-led EdTech platform that will Acquire , Train , Certify and Place aspirants into specific job tracks for industries that are facing issues with supply of skilled workforce. The industries that the platform will cater to in the first 8 quarters, we will focus on AHP (Allied Health Professionals) and Nursing, Construction and Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Hospitality and F&B (Culinary). Our courses are co-created with the industry to ensure that our curriculum and training methodology is abreast with what the industry needs. We will offer two types of courses: (a) Short-term Certifications recognised in partnership with NSDC and IMA, and (b) UGC-recognised Bachelor’s Degrees. The underlying problem that we are on a mission to solve - Education, and even Skill-based Education is not resulting in employability for the people and the employability of today’s youth may not be in line with the demands of the market. Therefore, there is a bottleneck in the demand-supply chain hampering economic growth and overall well-being of companies and their communities. Your responsibilities as an Engineer:  •     Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. •     Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. •     Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. •     Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures. •     Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products. •     Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment •     Participate in educational opportunities & read professional publications; •     Protects operations by keeping information confidential. •     Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues. •     Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed. •     Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.     Skill sets we require:   •     Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer •     Experience designing interactive applications •     Ability to develop software in React.js, Node.js, React Native or other programming languages •     Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate) •     Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC) •     Experience with test-driven development •     Proficiency in software engineering tools •     Ability to document requirements and specifications   Experience & Pedigree:    •     Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
