Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
Ensure the team adheres to Scrum principles, values, and best practices.
Support Product Owner in managing and prioritizing the Product Backlog.
Coach team members in Agile values and practices.
Promote self‑organization, accountability, and collaboration within the team.
Encourage effective communication and conflict resolution.
Identify and remove blockers to help the development team achieve sprint goals.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to eliminate roadblocks.
Drive ongoing process improvements to optimize delivery flow and team performance.
Facilitate data‑driven decision‑making using velocity, burndown charts, and other metrics.
Ensure transparency by maintaining Scrum artifacts and communicating progress.
Collaborate with Product Owner, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Support sprint commitments and release planning.
Track team performance metrics and provide actionable insights.
Skills & Qualifications
Must‑Have
Strong understanding of the Agile/Scrum framework.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Ability to drive collaboration and influence without authority.
Experience in guiding multiple Scrum teams (for senior roles).
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Certifications such as:
CSM
(Certified ScrumMaster)
PSM I/II
(Professional Scrum Master)
SAFe Scrum Master
(optional based on organization)
Experience
3–8 years of experience as Scrum Master (varies by seniority).
Experience working in Agile software development teams.
Knowledge of tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar.
