About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and certified SAP Technical Lead to join our team on a permanent basis in India. The successful candidate will play a dual role by providing hands-on technical expertise across SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC landscapes while also leading and mentoring a team of SAP consultants.
The role requires close collaboration with onshore stakeholders during overlapping working hours. Candidates must therefore be comfortable working the 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST).
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and delivery of SAP solutions across SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC platforms while ensuring alignment with business and architectural standards.
Provide hands-on technical contribution in ABAP development, debugging, performance tuning, integrations, and S/4HANA migration or conversion activities.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and recommend best practices, reusable accelerators, and design patterns.
Manage, mentor, and guide SAP developers and consultants, including effort estimation, work allocation, code reviews, quality checks, and performance feedback.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for onshore stakeholders, functional consultants, and client leadership during the assigned shift window.
Drive end-to-end delivery for implementations, rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and AMS/support engagements.
Provide L3-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for critical production issues while ensuring SLA adherence.
Maintain high-quality technical documentation, test plans, and compliance with SAP coding standards and governance practices.
Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and reusable development components within the SAP ecosystem.

Educational & Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8+ years of SAP experience with strong exposure to both SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
Minimum 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Team Lead role managing onshore-offshore teams.
Experience in at least:
2 full-cycle SAP implementations
1 ECC-to-S/4HANA migration or conversion project
