We work closely with kirana stores, retailers, and local businesses to simplify procurement, improve availability, and drive growth through technology-enabled supply chain solutions.
Role Overview:
We are looking for energetic and execution-focused Sales Interns to support on-ground retailer acquisition and relationship management across assigned markets. This is a field sales role where you will directly interact with retailers, understand their business needs, onboard new customers, and help drive order growth for the platform.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with field work, retailer interactions, and working in a fast-paced sales environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to B2B FMCG sales, distribution, and quick commerce operations.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Retailer Acquisition & Field Sales:
• Visit retailers and kirana stores across assigned territories to introduce Fairdeal.Market services
• Acquire and onboard new retailers onto the platform
• Explain product offerings, pricing, schemes, and ordering process to retailers
• Build strong retailer relationships to drive repeat business and trust
B. Order Generation & Market Development:
• Support daily order generation and retailer engagement activities
• Ensure active retailers place regular orders through the platform
• Identify opportunities for category expansion and higher order value
• Collect market feedback on pricing, competition, and customer preferences
C. Relationship Management:
• Act as the first point of contact for retailers in assigned areas
• Resolve basic retailer concerns by coordinating with internal teams
• Ensure smooth onboarding and order experience for new retailers
• Maintain strong retailer engagement and follow-up
D. Reporting & Execution:
• Maintain daily visit reports, retailer updates, and sales activity trackers
• Share market intelligence and competitor insights with reporting managers
• Achieve assigned onboarding and sales activity targets
• Support local activation and field campaigns when required
What We’re Looking For:
• Graduate or pursuing graduation in any discipline
• Strong interest in field sales, FMCG, or B2B business development
• Comfortable with daily field visits and retailer interactions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of smartphone apps and digital ordering platforms
• Hindi communication is mandatory; local market understanding is preferred
Good to Have:
• Prior internship or field sales exposure in FMCG, telecom, retail, or distribution business
• Familiarity with local retailer markets and distribution channels
• Ability to build rapport quickly with retailers and shop owners
