Position Overview
The Revit Modeler will play a key role in our firm's BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflow, responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and detailed Revit models for architectural projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the implementation of best practices in BIM technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revit Modeling
- Create and develop Revit models for architectural projects based on design drawings, sketches, and specifications provided by project architects.
- Generate 3D models of building elements, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure Revit models accurately represent design intent and meet project requirements.
2. BIM Coordination
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to integrate discipline-specific models (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) into the architectural Revit model.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings to identify and resolve clashes, conflicts, and coordination issues between different building systems.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the federated BIM model, ensuring consistency and compatibility across all project disciplines.
3. Model Management and Documentation
- Organize and structure Revit models according to established standards and project guidelines.
- Maintain the integrity of Revit models by implementing best practices for file management, naming conventions, and version control.
- Prepare and produce construction documents, drawings, and schedules derived from the Revit model, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
4. Quality Assurance and Training:
- Conduct quality control checks on Revit models to ensure adherence to company standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.
- Provide training and support to project team members on Revit modeling techniques, workflows, and software features.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and updates in Revit software and BIM technology, and share knowledge with the team to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of [insert years of experience] years of experience in Revit modeling within an architectural or engineering firm.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software, including strong knowledge of Revit modeling techniques, families, parameters, and schedules.
