About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Team: The Agile Practice Enablement group operates as a strategic enabler within Digital Technology Services (DTS) under S&P Global's Chief Technology & Transformation Office. Our team champions a product-oriented delivery model by empowering cross-functional teams to deliver high-value DTS products and solutions that directly address customer needs while advancing organizational strategic objectives. We foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs). Responsibilities and Impact: As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will serve as the servant-leader for a DTS Agile Release Train (ART), orchestrating seamless delivery of value while maintaining operational excellence. In addition to your RTE responsibilities, you will provide people leadership and professional development guidance to the Scrum Masters within your train. Working in close collaboration with Transformation Coaches and the Portfolio Delivery Office, you will drive strategic alignment and ensure your ART consistently delivers meaningful business outcomes. Your key responsibilities include: Lead and facilitate Planning Interval (PI) Planning and ART events  to ensure seamless value delivery across multiple agile teams while optimizing flow and removing impediments Drive operational excellence  by tracking PI execution progress, coordinating cross-ART dependencies, and facilitating synchronization events that keep teams aligned with business objectives Serve as servant-leader and agile coach  for the Agile Release Train, fostering Lean-Agile mindsets, continuous improvement culture, and collaborative practices across distributed teams Optimize ART flow  by analyzing flow metrics, accelerating delivery pipelines, and eliminating cross-team dependencies Provide people leadership  for Scrum Masters on the train, supporting their professional development and ensuring consistent agile practices across teams Bridge agile and traditional program management  approaches to create a hybrid environment that delivers business value while maintaining Agile principles and flexibility What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Knowledge of Technology Infrastructure or Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with understanding of engineering processes and methodologies to leverage techniques that provide value to teams and enterprise operations Proven expertise in SAFe framework implementation  including Planning Interval (PI) planning facilitation, ART operations, and Lean-Agile practices across multiple teams and stakeholders Strong servant leadership and coaching experience  with demonstrated ability to guide Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams through Agile transformations and continuous improvement initiatives Excellent facilitation and communication skills  with experience leading large-group ceremonies, managing stakeholder relationships, and presenting to executive leadership in complex organizational environments Experience with Agile Project Management tools  such as Azure DevOps or Jira, along with proficiency in flow metrics, reporting dashboards, and value stream optimization techniques SAFe certifications preferred  including SAFe RTE, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile coaching credentials that demonstrate deep understanding of Scaled Agile principles Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field  with 5+ years of experience in Technology Program Management, Software Delivery, or organizational transformation roles Additional Preferred Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  with experience using data-driven approaches to identify bottlenecks, optimize flow metrics, and implement systematic improvements across multiple Agile Release Trains. Advanced SAFe certifications  such as SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) or SAFe DevOps certification, demonstrating expertise in scaling agile practices and continuous delivery pipeline optimization Background in Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)  with experience in OKR frameworks and strategic alignment practices that connect team-level delivery to enterprise business outcomes What’s In It For You?
