Role Overview
We are hiring an Executive – Deferment & Intercompany Reconciliation to manage customs documentation, deferment reconciliation, and compliance processes for cross-border shipments. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate reconciliation, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customs Documentation Management
Manage and verify cross-border shipment documentation
Ensure alignment between invoices, customs documents, and system records
Maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) and audit-ready records
2. SAP & Transaction Verification
Monitor SAP transactions (STO, GRN, sales listings)
Validate shipment data against system records
Identify discrepancies and prevent duplication
3. Deferment Reconciliation
Perform monthly reconciliation of deferment accounts
Track and validate SARS-related transactions
Coordinate with finance and compliance teams
4. Compliance & Audit
Ensure adherence to customs and regulatory requirements
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance checks
Support month-end closure activities
5. Reporting & Tracking
Maintain tracking dashboards and control sheets
Generate reconciliation and compliance reports
Ensure timely submission of verified documentation
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
3–5 years of experience in reconciliation/compliance/logistics
Strong Excel skills (advanced level preferred)
Working knowledge of SAP (STO, GRN processes)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work according to EMEA time zone (12PM to 9PM)
Willingness to travel to Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt and South Africa as required.
