Position Summary The QMS Engineer / Associate will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements. The role requires strong hands-on exposure to automotive quality systems, supplier quality, process audits, EMS manufacturing processes, and quality core tools. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling cross-functional coordination, driving corrective and preventive actions, supporting customer requirements, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities Quality Management System •    Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949 requirements. •    Drive compliance with documented procedures, process controls, and customer-specific requirements. •    Maintain and control quality documentation, SOPs, work instructions, records, and audit reports. •    Support internal and external audits, including certification and customer audits. Audit Management •    Conduct and manage: o    Supplier System Audits o    EMS and Internal System Audits o    Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions. Continuous Improvement •    Identify quality risks and implement preventive actions. •    Drive Kaizen, CAPA, and process optimization initiatives. •    Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence across teams. Required Qualifications •    Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline. •    5–8 years of relevant experience in Automotive, EV, Electronics Manufacturing, or EMS industry. •    Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality requirements. •    Hands-on experience in EMS/SMT manufacturing quality processes. •    Experience in independently handling audits, customer quality requirements, and process improvements. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills o    Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 o    Automotive Quality Core Tools o    APQP o    PPAP o    SPC o    MSA o    PFMEA / DFMEA o    CAPA •    Understanding of EMS/SMT manufacturing processes and controls. •    Knowledge of supplier quality management and audit systems. •    Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation management. Behavioral Competencies •    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. •    Strong ownership mindset and execution capability. •    Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. •    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. •    Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. •    Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional coordination effectively. •    Self-driven, adaptable, and proactive approach toward problem-solving and continuous improvement. Preferred Experience •    Experience in EV startups, automotive electronics, telematics, IoT products, or EMS manufacturing environments. •    Exposure to customer audits and OEM quality requirements. •    Certification in Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor for IATF 16949 will be an added advantage.
