Job Description:
Review and verify all structural drawings including general arrangements, sections, and fabrication details.
Inspect and validate 3D models for structural consistency, clash detection, and alignment with 2D drawings.
Ensure compliance with classification society rules (DNV, ABS, LR) and client specifications.
Check welding symbols, material specifications, and structural standards used in design documents.
Coordinate with design teams to resolve discrepancies and improve drawing quality.
Maintain QC logs, checklists, and documentation for all reviewed outputs.
Participate in internal design reviews and provide feedback on structural integrity and buildability.
Support documentation for class approvals and production readiness.
Assist in developing and refining QC procedures and standards.
Stay updated with latest ship design tools and regulatory changes affecting structural design.
Qualification:
B.E/B.Tech or Diploma Mechanical with 5 -7 years' experience into Shipyard, Ship design.
Desired Profile of the candidate:
Must have experience in new shipbuilding outfitting section.
Proficiency in ship design tools and strong attention to detail required.
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Basic understanding of ISO standards is preferred.
