QA & Testing Lead Analyst
Position Overview
The QA & Testing Lead Analyst
(Ab Initio)
is responsible for
implementing robust testing practices across the PBM organization’s data integration platforms. The candidate will ensure adherence to SAFE Agile practices and work closely with developers, data engineers, and other testers in small scrum teams to deliver high-quality ETL solutions in
a timely
and cost-effective manner. Specific duties include validating source-to-target data mapping,
creating
and executing test plans and test cases, estimating test efforts,
analyzing
and communicating test results, defect tracking, and supporting regression testing for automation readiness.
This role provides counsel and advice across multiple stakeholders on ETL testing matters, often requiring coordination between teams. The role may provide thought leadership and technical
expertise
across multiple disciplines and act as a lead within the team, mentoring junior testers.

Responsibilities
Work with business partners and IT staff to
establish
and implement a consistent ETL testing
methodology
.
Design and execute comprehensive test cases for ETL processes using Ab Initio.
Validate source-to-target data mapping and transformation logic for large-scale healthcare datasets.
Identify
and prepare complex test data to support defined test cases.
Develop and
maintain
regression test beds and schedule test cycles.
Ensure regression scripts are in
appropriate format
for automation.
Perform manual and automated ETL test execution.
Conduct UAT and End-to-End testing for ETL workflows.
Utilize
appropriate testing
tools and frameworks for ETL validation.
Validate and report progress, risks, issues, and defects to the agile team.
Communicate effectively with business partners and agile team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Support PI Planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and business demos.
Participate in post-implementation testing and
lessons learned
analysis.
Bring new ETL testing methodologies and best practices to the team.
Qualifications
Required Skills
:
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting,
Oracle
and Teradata databases
Mainframe experience a plus
Knowledge of Medical claims data and processing (Claims adjustments, ICD Codes, Procedures, Revenues,
etc
)
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency
in ETL testing concepts and tools.
Hands-on experience with Ab Initio components: GDE, Co>Operating System, EME, Conduct>IT, Express>IT.
Strong SQL skills for data validation and query optimization.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting.
Knowledge of defect tracking tools (Jira, Confluence).
Understanding of
automation frameworks and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git).
Strong written and verbal communication skills
.
Familiarity with Agile
methodology
and SAFE practices.
Required
Experience
& Education
:
5-8
years of experience in Ab Initio ETL
,
preferably in healthcare or PBM domain.
Experience with vendor management in an onshore/offshore model.
Proven experience testing large-scale enterprise data solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.

Location & Hours of Work
Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
