Key Responsibilities:
Analyse user stories, use cases, and requirements for validity and feasibility.
Develop and execute comprehensive test scenarios for multi-tier architecture and distributed systems.
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke/sanity, installation, and upgrade testing.
Evaluate application performance, usability, and reliability through manual and automated testing.
Execute test cases with attention to database impact, edge cases, and error-handling scenarios.
Perform debugging and root cause analysis across various layers of the tech stack.
Test web and mobile applications as well as RESTful APIs.
Document test plans, procedures, and results while reporting anomalies and bugs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, SREs, and product managers.
Leverage tools like Jira, YouTrack, and Kibana for defect tracking and log analysis.
Use API testing tools such as Postman and Insomnia.
Utilize Metabase for data validation and test-related insights.
Apply performance testing techniques using JMeter and conduct reliability and scalability testing.
Engage in automation on a need basis and incorporate AI-driven test case generation. tools like TestCraft to enhance productivity and meet deadlines efficiently.
Manage cloud-based logs and metrics using Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 1 year of experience relevant to QA Engineering.
ISTQB Certified.
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Proficiency in reviewing functional and technical design documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively across teams and document technical trade-offs.
Good analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
Adaptive team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
