About this role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SE II Developer with good experience in object-oriented programming and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bug fixing, enhancing existing systems, and developing new features while ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. Experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL (OOABL) and exposure to QAD ERP systems will be a an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and bugs in a timely manner Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Progress OOABL and Java Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, business analysts, and stakeholders Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards Support production systems and provide technical assistance when required Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes Experience 4- 8 years  Strong experience in  Progress OpenEdge ABL (OOABL) Experience with at least one additional  object-oriented programming language  (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Python) Solid understanding of  OOPS concepts  and design principles Experience in  bug fixing, debugging, and performance tuning Familiarity with  relational databases  and SQL Understanding of  software development lifecycle (SDLC) Good problem-solving and analytical skills Preferred / Good to Have: Experience or exposure to  QAD ERP  products Knowledge of enterprise application architecture Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Key Competencies: Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Attention to detail and commitment to quality Your health and well being are important to us at QAD.
