Job Description:
The Program Manager has single point responsibility for Energy Program (projects) that are assigned by Head of Energy Systems from Perth Office. The program is to be executed on time, on budget and according to company’s goals and alignment. This responsibility extends from formal business development through to receipt of final payment from the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To liaise with the client for any open opportunities on projects and proposals.
To liaise with the client for getting an annual forecast if that becomes available.
To align company goals with the client’s expectations and forecast.
To liaise with the Client’s Management team and update the client on Company’s latest developments, investments, ventures that are relevant to the client.
To liaise with the client on any ongoing issues and to resolve in a timely manner
To review the proposals with the PM and seek approval as deemed necessary with Head of Energy Systems and/or approve the proposal for the PM to submit.
To liaise with the client to chase for any open proposals and bids.
To review and approve the sales job file before Jord Energy’s internal kick off meeting to ensure it is comprehensive. Any grey areas or omissions shall be documented with a timeline for resolution agreed with sales
To guide the PM review the history of problems on previous similar projects regarding the product and client and develop and implement a strategy to mitigate against such risks occurring again
To implement and execute a detailed project execution system that is in line with the company’s quality requirements and help adapt this project execution system to mitigate changes in the project risk profile
Implement engineering, procurement, manufacturing and quality strategy based on contractual requirements and Jord procedures.
Ensure strategies are understood by all team members and ensure compliance by all parties during the execution of the project
Proactively lead the project team to ensure that the project deliverables are known to the team and produced in a timely, efficient and adequate manner in line with the baseline project execution plan
Ensure project communication protocols are being followed
Approve project scope, and ensure/approve any opportunities for EOT (extension of time) and EOC (extension of cost) are documented and claimed in line with the contractual requirements in a timely and professional manner
Ensure project reporting in line with Jord Energy procedures in a timely manner
Promptly report any critical risks to the Head of Operations
Perform special tasks as assigned by the Director.

kills and Experience:
At least 17 years’ project management experience with an understanding of Sales/Business Development, Engineering, Project Finance, Fabrication Procedures, Sourcing, Procurement, Shipping and QA/QC Methods
Proven experience in managing projects that adhere to timeline, budgets, quality and mitigate risk
Proven understanding and experience in commercial terms and financial objectives of projects
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong business relationships with customers
Excellent communication skills combined with a proven ability to motivate and manage cross functional teams
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management
