About the Role
As a Program Lead, you will be responsible for driving the mission of enabling the education ecosystem to lead continuous and sustainable improvements by providing support to a designated group of educational government functionaries at district and block levels at Raichur district of Kalaburagi division. The Program Lead will also be actively engaged in designing and innovating programs along with the government.
This role is best suited for someone who has led district-level operations in the development or education sector and can combine advocacy with strong hands-on facilitation, data management and leadership skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
Program Planning and Implementation
Lead and manage a specific workstream within the larger program, ensuring timely execution and coordination.
Support the Senior Program Lead (SPL) and Program Manager (PM) in planning, strategy development, and overall program implementation.
Co-create and support education transformation programs in collaboration with district governments and government primary/high schools.
Assess existing government projects and recommend strategies to strengthen implementation and impact.
Learning Design and Program Development
Design and develop learning resources, training materials, and program content aligned with project goals.
Improve feedback and learning cycles by building stronger mechanisms for collecting and acting on field-level insights.
Review existing systems, structures, and processes, and work with relevant officials to implement improvement initiatives.
Field Support and Monitoring
Conduct regular field visits to support implementation, monitor progress, and gather insights from the ground.
Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation related to ongoing program activities and outcomes.
Prepare detailed reports documenting program outcomes, learnings, and impact.
Stakeholder Management and Coordination
Liaise regularly with government officials, school leaders, NGOs, knowledge partners, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth program delivery.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, review sessions, and stakeholder discussions to strengthen engagement and collaboration.
Coordinate logistics and operational requirements for meetings, events, trainings, and field activities.
Partnerships and Communication
Build and manage strategic partnerships with NGOs, knowledge partners, design consultants, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Create partner engagement frameworks to coordinate, monitor, and improve partner effectiveness.
Prepare presentations, concept notes, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience and Competencies Required
Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience, however, candidates with strong experience in the education sector will be considered.
Must have awareness of the state-level initiatives towards education transformation in different parts of India is preferable.
Experience in classroom teaching, delivering educational programs and activities OR experience working on projects with school stakeholders from underserved urban/rural localities.
Strong interest in empowering a school through - School Leadership, Teaching & Learning, and Community Engagement.
Must know Kannada (Read and Write)
