THE ROLE
The
Program Associate_STEM (PA)
plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning and overall experience of the STEM Collective in Patiala district. This is an entrepreneurial position that requires the PA to take on diverse responsibilities—ranging from building and managing relationships with government stakeholders and collaborating with local institutions, to addressing on-ground challenges and leading the planning and execution of both small- and large-scale events. The PA is expected to embody and demonstrate core values such as grit, creativity, collaboration, and compassion in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities:
The Program Associate will play a vital role in supporting the planning and implementation of Sanjhi Sikhiya’s district programs and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing operational support for STEM initiatives and other district activities, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
Building and strengthening a local support network to advance Sanjhi Sikhiya’s mission.
Supporting communications by capturing field stories and managing district-level outreach efforts.
Acting as a liaison with government officials, NGO partners, universities, and industry, fostering strong and ongoing collaboration.
Promoting teamwork by coordinating with other district teams to ensure seamless information exchange and alignment.
Leading volunteer mobilization, including recruitment and management, to ensure their meaningful engagement in PYLP initiatives.
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in STEM domains (Statistics, Economics, Sciences, Engineering, Medical, or related fields).
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the development sector with exposure to STEM education; female candidates with a STEM background will be given preference.
Understanding of classroom pedagogy and the education governance system in India.
Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with exposure to design thinking approaches.
Ability to adapt quickly and function effectively in diverse work environments and field conditions.
Proven ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in fast-paced settings.
Proficiency in basic technical tools such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace applications for program management.
Strong communication skills; knowledge of Punjabi (reading and writing) is an advantage.

Remuneration
₹4–6 LPA (CTC), based on experience and commitment.
