Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with production targets. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet output targets and operational objectives.
Monitor production processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Coordinate and assign tasks to production staff, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower and resources.
Ensure all team members are properly trained to perform their roles effectively and adhere to standard operating procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, identifying potential issues and coordinating with maintenance teams for timely repairs and servicing.
Ensure adherence to quality control standards and protocols, addressing any production or product quality issues promptly.
Monitor and manage inventory levels in coordination with supply chain teams to ensure availability of raw materials and production supplies.
Work closely with material control, warehouse, and procurement teams to align production schedules with material availability.
Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on performance, output, and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment across the production floor.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, and quality control practices.
Experience in managing teams and shop-floor operations effectively.
Good knowledge of ERP systems for production tracking and reporting.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.
