Job Overview:
The Li-Ion Battery Pack Production Supervisor will oversee the manufacturing process of lithium-ion battery packs, ensuring high-quality production standards, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. This role involves managing a team of production operators, coordinating with engineering and quality assurance departments, and maintaining a productive and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate production of Li-Ion battery packs.
Production Oversight:
Monitor daily production activities, including setup, operation, and maintenance of battery pack assembly equipment. Ensure that production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
Quality Control:
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that battery packs meet all safety and performance specifications. Perform regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety training and ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with engineering and maintenance teams to implement changes that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with the supply chain department to ensure timely availability of materials.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance logs. Prepare and present production reports to management as required.
Problem-Solving:
Address and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns in a timely manner. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, and experience with Li-Ion battery technology is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of battery manufacturing processes and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with shift timing [9am-6pm].
Potential for overtime based on production demands.
