This role will be based at plant location Sayaka, Bharuch, Gujarat.   Function: Officer  - Production Location: Sayakha (Bharuch) Immediate superior: Shift Incharge   Main Function: Responsible for the actual operation and control of activities in the deputed shop floor area such as plant, Utilities unit - Cooling water Tower, Incinerator unit, Thermal Oxidiser Unit, Air Compressor Unit, Water Treatment Plant & Effluent treatment plant, Fire water Pump House & Raw material Tank Farm Area.   The role is responsible to · Perform chemical operations in safe and effective manner. ·   Operate plant equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or as per the directions from reporting officer. ·   Monitor, record and report parameters like pressure, temperature, flow, pH, conductivity, quantity etc. at various stages of chemical processing. ·   Unload liquid raw materials to the tankers. ·   Handle, transport and process chemicals safely. ·   Transport raw materials from warehouse to processing facility. ·   Recommend improvements in SOPs and suggest ways to improve productivity. ·   Assist in conducting trials at shop floor to improve quality, safety, operational efficiency etc. as needed. ·   Analyze and troubleshoot problems in chemical plant operations. ·   Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety and productivity. ·   Learn &do minor maintenance of certain equipment as per the direction from superiors and/or based on the need, as the case may be. Clean and handover equipment as needed and report repairs to maintenance personnel. · Contribute to make the operations and plant world class by actively participating in the implementation of IMS,5S,Kaizen,GMP etc. · Report to Shift Supervisors/DCS panel engineer in case of parameter abnormalities and process deviations immediately. · Avoid the wastage of raw materials, packaging items, utilities and rework. Report any such wastages to the supervisor if found anywhere in the plant. · Prepare & Assist in preparation of necessary plant-operational reports as requested by Production Supervisor or Team Leader. · Ensure the safe shutdown, isolation and blow down of relevant Section / plant during emergency situations. · Assist in studying the problem and issues arising in the operation and process and help to identify suitable remedial measures. · Train, direct, manage the casual labor force deputed to help the plant officer to achieve the deputed task. · Adhere to Company’s HSE policy, standards and approved operating procedures while performing the duties / tasks. · Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor such as taking part in training / developing new recruits / preparing necessary reports, plant shutdown and start up procedures, etc. · Safely & diligently handover shift duties to the reliever. Extend the working hours if the reliever fails to turn up until the end of the shift or a new reliever is arranged as the case may be. · In charge of ESD/SIS operation. · Participate in work permit issuance by cleaning &isolating equipment, pipelines and vessels · Actively participate in HIRA · Participate in mock drills and be a active member of emergency response team if chosen. · Actively participate in EHSS programs (i.e. take/note CARE365 observations, safety training, PSM-Process Safety Management, toolbox talks, incident reporting & investigation and safety walks, take part in Safety committee meetings). · Follow all Company policies & procedures and all site health, safety, security and environmental rules.   Required Knowledge base and experience: · A disciplined and hardworking personality. · Keen attentive attitude, sense of coordination, cooperation and teamwork. · Safety oriented approach. · 05 years of experience of Chemical industry with Diploma (chemical engineering)/ B.sc (science) · Language: Gujarati/Hindi/ English
