Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused
Procurement Manager – OHE
with 2–3 years of experience in Railway, Metro, or EPC projects. The role involves managing procurement activities specifically for
Overhead Electrification (OHE) materials
, vendor development, PO management, and ensuring seamless material availability for site and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete procurement cycle for
OHE materials
such as fittings, hardware, cantilevers, droppers, insulators, ATD components, catenary/conductor materials, clamps, brackets, and associated items.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors as per IR/Metro/EPC procurement norms.
Prepare and float RFQs, develop comparative statements, and issue Purchase Orders.
Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Planning, and Stores teams for understanding BOQs and material requirements.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of OHE materials at project sites.
Negotiate terms, prices, delivery schedules, and quality conditions with vendors.
Verify technical specifications and ensure compliance with RDSO/railway standards.
Maintain procurement trackers, PO status reports, and delivery schedules.
Work with Finance for invoice processing, payment follow-up, and documentation.
Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies, compliance norms, and audit requirements.
Support audits by maintaining complete documentation such as POs, BOQs, test certificates, vendor approvals, and quotations.
Key Requirements
Graduate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in procurement within Railway, Metro, or EPC projects.
Strong understanding of
OHE systems, materials, and technical specifications
.
Knowledge of RDSO standards, railway electrification components, and the OHE vendor ecosystem.
Hands-on experience in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Keka or similar).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage procurement timelines and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in procuring materials for OHE projects (IR, Metro, DFCC, EPC).
Understanding of tenders, BOQ interpretation, and technical–commercial evaluation.
Certification in Procurement/Supply Chain (optional but advantageous).
