Job Responsibilities:
Management of supplier facing projects and changes (cost / schedule / technical scope) – Interface between cross-functional teams; key point of contact for procurement issues
Develop, communicate, and manage detailed procurement activity schedules that support higher level program schedules, ensuring communication within procurement function and cross-functional stakeholders
Drives supplier selection process in conjunction with commodity management partners
Drives early supplier involvement in development projects
Drives value/cost engineering activities within DFX conventions and Value Engineering workshops
Drives supply chain risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Partners with supplier quality and executes factory related supplier improvement actions
Contributes to the execution of the productivity funnel – collaborating with R&D, supplier quality, operations, etc. to execute cost downs
Execute Request For Quote (RFQs) and issue technical documentation to Suppliers during NPI projects and subsequent lifecycle changes
Manage / maintain part setup and cost updates
Execute and support Phase In – Phase Out (PIPO) planning related to new product introductions and sustaining changes
Participate in supplier assessments & site visits
Aligns Ultrasound business procurement needs with competitive landscape and technology roadmaps
Support commodity management teams with specific product knowledge and opportunities to drive negotiation savings to drive short-term and long-term product cost reductions.
Minimum Education / Skills:
BS or comparable degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering (or similar equivalent)
5+ years experience in hardware design and/or matrixed manufacturing with a focus on supply chain and/or procurement related function
Ability to organize and lead cross functional teams
Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, across functions and organizational layers
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
