: Principal Scientist - Synthetic Chemistry (Agrochemicals, Pharma API & Aroma Chemicals)
Role Overview
Scimplify is looking for a seasoned R&D leader to head the
Synthetic chemistry function.
The role will drive
process development, scale-up and innovation
across Agrochemicals, Pharma APIs and Aroma Chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead
process R&D and synthetic route development
for specialty and fine chemicals.
Design and optimize
cost-efficient, scalable chemical processes
.
Drive
technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale
.
Lead innovation in
Agrochemical intermediates, APIs, and aroma molecules
.
Collaborate with
global clients and internal commercial teams
to develop custom molecules.
Build and mentor a
high-performing R&D team
.
Ensure
compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
.
Work closely with manufacturing teams for
process scale-up and commercialization
Qualifications
PhD / M.Tech / MSc in Organic Chemistry or Synthetic Chemistry.
Global/MNC experience in Process R&D
is strongly preferred.
Minimum
10+ years of experience leading R&D teams
.
Strong experience in
route scouting, impurity profiling, and scale-up chemistry
.
