We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal ELV Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. As a key technical leader in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for large-scale building projects.
Lead the design and implementation of complex ELV systems, including building automation, fire alarm, security, telecommunications, and audio-visual systems
Manage and mentor a team of ELV engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring project success
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems
Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and standards
Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and constraints
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in ELV systems
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in ELV systems
Participate in business development activities and contribute to proposal preparation
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Communication Engineering or a related field
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
10+ years of experience in ELV systems engineering, with a proven track record of successful large-scale projects
Strong expertise in building automation, fire alarm, security, telecommunications, and audio-visual systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes and standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
Relevant certifications such as RCDD, CTS, or NICET are highly desirable
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
