Role Summary The Presales Consultant will play a strategic role in driving business growth by supporting the sales team with solution design, proposal development, bid management, and client presentations. The ideal candidate must have prior presales experience in the BFSI or FMCG domain within an IT services environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with sales and business development teams to understand client requirements. Lead end-to-end RFP / RFQ / RFI responses and bid management processes. Prepare compelling technical proposals, commercial proposals, and solution presentations . Conduct requirement analysis and translate business needs into IT solutions. Design high-level solution architectures in coordination with technical teams. Participate in client meetings, workshops, and pre-bid discussions. Create case studies, capability decks, and reusable proposal content. Support effort estimation, pricing models, and solution costing. Conduct competitor analysis and market research within BFSI/FMCG sectors. Ensure timely submission of high-quality bids aligned with client expectations. Required Skills & Competencies Technical & Functional Skills Strong experience in RFP/RFI/RFQ management and bid lifecycle handling . Expertise in proposal writing and solution documentation. Understanding of IT services such as: Application Development & Maintenance Digital Transformation Cloud Solutions Data & Analytics Enterprise Applications Strong domain knowledge of BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance) or FMCG industry . Ability to create solution architectures and effort estimations. Good understanding of commercial constructs, pricing models, and contract terms. Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Stakeholder management and client-facing experience. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT / Computer Science. MBA (Marketing/Finance/Operations) preferred. 5–10 years of experience in Presales within an IT Services & Consulting company.
