The
Process Intelligence
CoE
acts as the engine for this vision. As the
Celonis
Platform Engineer
, you are the technical owner of this platform. While our PI Managers focus on business value, you
are responsible for
keeping the platform healthy,
setting
the technical rules, and ensuring that any data models built by external consultants or internal IT teams are scalable, secure, and compliant.
Key Scope:
Platform Health (Primary Focus):
Serve as the technical owner responsible for the
Celonis
platform's uptime, performance, and compliance with Mondelez IT security standards.
Setting the Rules:
Define and enforce the technical guidelines for Data Integration and Object-Centric Data Models (OCDM). You ensure that developers follow best practices and
create scalable
solutions.
Technical Oversight:
Act as the technical reviewer for solutions built by
Celonis
Consultants and the MDS CoC
&
CoE
teams
. You
provide guidance
rather than building
these
yourself.
CoE
Support:
Provide the technical documentation, access, and guidance that our PI Managers and Data Analysts need to easily consume the
platform's
data.
THE KEY EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE:

We are
seeking
a highly skilled technical professional to serve as our
Celonis
Platform Engineer. This role focuses heavily on
platform operations, data governance, and system health
. You will bridge the gap between complex IT environments and our
CoE
, ensuring the
Celonis
platform is a reliable, fast, and secure tool for the business.
The incumbent MUST HAVE:
Strong
Celonis
Technical Experience:
3-4+ years working hands-on within
Celonis
EMS, focusing on environment management, Data Integration, PQL, and platform administration.
Core Process Knowledge:
have a solid understanding of at least one core ERP process area (e.g., SAP
STP
, O2C, and underlying tables) to confidently review developers' work.
Governance & Standards Mindset:
Experience setting technical standards, writing documentation, and reviewing the work of other developers to ensure compliance.
Technical Foundation:
A strong grasp of SQL, basic data pipeline concepts, and an understanding of data privacy/security standards.

1. Platform Health & Operations
Platform Health
:
Own the daily reliability of the platform.
Monitor for
system slowdowns, data extraction failures, or quality issues, and jump in to troubleshoot technical problems.
Access & Security:
Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and ensure all
Celonis
solutions
comply with
enterprise data privacy (e.g., GDPR) and security policies.
2. Technical Standards & Guardrails
Define the Playbook:
Create and
maintain
the documentation that dictates how
Celonis
should be built at Mondelez (e.g., naming conventions, data model standards, OCDM guidelines).
Quality Control:
Review and approve the technical work delivered by external
Celonis
Consultants and internal IT teams to ensure they follow your guidelines and don't create technical debt.
3. User Support & Technical Guidance
Enable the Team:
Help PI Managers (Value Architects) and Analysts understand how to best query and consume the data models available
in
the platform.
Targeted Hands-On Build:
While your main job is
maintaining
the platform, you will occasionally
support
data integration or fix a critical bug when the team is blocked.
4. IT & Vendor Collaboration
Partnership:
Act as the main technical point of contact for Enterprise IT, Security teams, and
Celonis
Vendor Support to resolve underlying infrastructure or software issues.
What You Bring (Skills & Experience)
Functional/Technical Expertise:
5+ years
of total IT experience in Data Engineering, BI Administration, or Systems Integration.
3-4+ years
of experience specifically managing or developing within the
Celonis
EMS platform.
Process Knowledge:
Practical understanding of standard SAP ERP tables in at least one core process area (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, etc.).
Technical Stack:
Advanced SQL, comfortable with standard API integrations, and strong troubleshooting skills.
Professional Skills:
Constructive Pushback:
The ability to review someone else's code/model and comfortably say "no" if it violates platform standards, guiding them to the right solution.
Clear Communication:
Ability to explain technical platform issues to non-technical PI Managers and business stakeholders.
Problem Solving:
A methodical approach to debugging broken data pipelines or system performance issues.

You care more about the system running flawlessly every day than rushing a poorly built solution into production.
Process-Oriented:
You naturally document your work and build standard operating procedures (SOPs)
so
manual tasks can be avoided in the future.
Education Level:
Bachelor’s Degree
in Computer Science
, Information Systems, Engineering, or
a related
technical field.
Certifications:
Celonis
Data Engineer or equivalent technical certifications are highly preferred.
