So the title could be: Tech Infra Lead Senior Tech Infra Lead (Associate Director) Infrastructure Engineering People Manager Role Experience:  10–18 years Location:  Mumbai Work Mode:  Work from office only Job Profile Summary PHI is building a cloud-native, modular, scalable, and secure health insurance platform hosted on  Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . The  Tech Infra Lead  will be responsible for designing, provisioning, and managing the infrastructure backbone of this platform, ensuring it is resilient, secure, and optimised for performance and cost. This role is critical to PHI’s ambition to be a “Tech-first” organisation, delivering best-in-class infrastructure capabilities from Day 1. Job Description Lead the design and implementation of PHI’s infrastructure architecture across GCP, ensuring modularity, scalability, and security. Own the provisioning of infrastructure using  Terraform  and  Infra-as-Code  principles. Manage container orchestration using  GKE , and ensure secure deployment pipelines via  GitHub Actions . Implement and maintain  HashiCorp Vault  for secrets management,  CyberArk  for privileged access, and  Azure AD  for identity and access control. Ensure infrastructure is compliant with Prudential Group’s security standards, including  DLP ,  encryption , and  endpoint protection . Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimisation across all infrastructure layers. Collaborate with application, data, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness. Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues. Maintain high availability and disaster recovery readiness across environments. Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and remediation using tools like  Prometheus ,  Grafana , and  Splunk . Ensure infrastructure supports real-time integrations, omnichannel engagement, and modular product configurations. Who We Are Looking For Technical Skills & Work Experience Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent; certifications in GCP, Kubernetes, or SRE are a plus. 10–18 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Deep expertise in  GCP ,  Kubernetes ,  Terraform ,  GitHub Actions , and  CI/CD . Strong understanding of  SQL and NoSQL databases , including BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Experience with  networking ,  firewall rules ,  load balancers , and  reverse proxies  (e.g., Apigee). Familiarity with  Checkmarx  for SAST, DAST, and SCA integration in pipelines. Proven track record in managing infrastructure for high-availability, low-latency systems. Personal Traits Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. High attention to detail and a proactive mindset. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships. What Can Make You Extra Special Experience in setting up infrastructure for greenfield platforms in regulated industries. Exposure to health insurance or financial services infrastructure. Experience with  VDI compliance ,  data classification , and  encryption standards .
