Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in high-quality PCB layout and development. The ideal candidate will work closely with hardware design, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to convert circuit schematics into optimized PCB layouts for reliable and manufacturable products.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret circuit schematics and convert them into multilayer PCB layouts using CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCAD).
Define PCB stack-up, impedance control, and design for signal integrity and power integrity.
Collaborate with hardware design engineers to ensure proper component placement, routing, and thermal management.
Create fabrication and assembly documentation (Gerber, ODB++, pick and place, BOM, etc.).
Perform DRC (Design Rule Check), ERC (Electrical Rule Check), and DFM/DFT reviews.
Coordinate with PCB fabricators and assembly vendors to address technical queries and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
Participate in PCB prototyping, bring-up, and debug support during product validation.
Maintain component libraries and ensure CAD data integrity across projects.
Work with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Firmware, Testing) to meet product development timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
3–4 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and layout for analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems.
Proficiency in one or more EDA tools.
Experience with multilayer PCB designs, impedance control, and high-speed signal routing.
Knowledge of EMI/EMC best practices, thermal management, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Strong understanding of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-A-600/610).
Familiarity with PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with power electronics, automotive, or railway electronics designs.
Familiarity with simulation tools for SI/PI or thermal analysis.
Exposure to mechanical design interfaces (e.g., 3D CAD integration, STEP model export).
Knowledge of relevant compliance standards (UL, CE, ISO, ROHS, etc.).
