Oracle Technical Architect with strong experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud technical development and integrations.
The Oracle Fusion Technical Architect is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and governing technical solutions across
Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications
(Financials, SCM, HCM, PPM, Procurement). This role ensures that enterprise-grade architectures are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and IT strategies. The Technical Architect collaborates with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical developers to deliver high‑quality Oracle Cloud solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Architecture & Design
Lead the technical architecture for Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations and enhancements.
Design scalable, secure solutions covering Integrations, Extensions, Conversions, Reports, Workflows, and Security.
Create and maintain architecture documents, design specifications, and integration patterns.
Define development frameworks using OIC, VBCS, PCS, APEX, BIP, OTBI, REST/SOAP APIs.
Ensure alignment with Oracle best practices and enterprise architecture governance.
2. Integration & Development
Architect end‑to‑end integrations using:
Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
REST/SOAP Web Services
File‑based data import (FBDI)
ADF/UI customizations (where applicable)
Oversee development of:
Conversions & migration scripts
BI Publisher reports, OTBI dashboards
Custom workflows and extensions
VBCS custom apps and pages
3. Implementation Leadership
Provide technical leadership across all project phases - requirements, design, build, testing, deployment.
Mentor and guide developers on coding standards and design principles.
Support SIT, UAT, performance testing, and go‑live cutovers.
Manage cross-functional dependencies and technical risk mitigation.
4. Cloud Security & Performance
Design Oracle Fusion Cloud security models, role-based access control (RBAC), and data security policies.
Conduct performance tuning for integrations, reports, and batch processes.
Ensure compliance with organizational security and data governance policies.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with functional architects, business SMEs, and project managers.
Present technical solutions to senior leadership and architecture review boards.
Conduct technical workshops, solution demos, and technical training sessions.
6. Continuous Improvement
Evaluate and adopt new Oracle Cloud features, quarterly updates, and emerging architectural patterns.
Recommend optimizations, automation, and modernization opportunities.
Maintain documentation for reusable frameworks and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
10–15+ years of experience in Oracle Applications technology.
Strong hands-on experience with:
OIC (Integrations, Orchestration, PCS, VBCS)
Oracle Fusion Cloud APIs (REST/SOAP)
FBDI & ADFdi
BI Publisher, OTBI, HCM Extracts/SCM Extracts
Oracle Cloud Security Framework
Strong understanding of Fusion Cloud architecture, data model, and extensibility.
Additional Knowledge
Experience with one or more functional pillars:
Finance, SCM, HCM, PPM, Procurement
Cloud-native patterns: event-driven architecture, microservices, RESTful design.
Knowledge of OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex technical architectures into business-friendly language.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle Cloud Technical Certifications (OIC, ERP Cloud, HCM Cloud, etc.).
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
Background in enterprise transformation or consulting.
Knowledge of DevOps pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Release Management).
