Job Description
The Oracle Finance & PPM Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle Cloud ERP Financials and Project Portfolio Management solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, project managers, technical teams, and executives to deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant enterprise solutions that align with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Delivery
Drive Oracle Cloud ERP/PPM implementations, enhancements, and rollouts.
Deep expertise in financial modules, project modules, and integrations with upstream/downstream systems.
Provide guidance to technical teams on interfaces, conversions, extensions, reports, and workflow design.
Manage functional testing, SIT/UAT support, issue triage, and deployment planning.
Business Engagement & Advisory
Act as trusted advisor to Finance and PMO leadership on process optimization.
Conduct workshops for requirements, fit-gap analysis, and solution validation.
Provide roadmap recommendations for modernization, automation, and cloud adoption.
Governance & Quality Assurance
Establish architecture governance, documentation standards, and design guidelines.
Review technical deliverables for alignment with solution architecture.
Mitigate risks, manage scope, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
Support & Continuous Improvement
Lead post‑go‑live support, triage complex issues, and ensure service stability.
Identify opportunities for process automation (RPA), analytics, and integration improvements.
Stay current with Oracle product releases and advise on new features.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Functional Expertise
8–15+ years of experience in Oracle Finance and Project modules.
Strong knowledge of:
Finance: GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA, Tax
PPM: Project Costing, Billing, Contracts, Resource Mgmt, Grants
Deep understanding of project accounting, revenue recognition, financial close, budgeting, and forecasting.
Technical & Architectural Skills
Experience in Oracle Cloud ERP (mandatory for modern roles).
Solid understanding of:
Integrations (OIC, REST/SOAP APIs)
Data conversion and migration strategies
Reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View)
Security and role design in Oracle Cloud
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior executives.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference to candidates with strong accounting background.
Oracle Cloud Certifications (Financials, PPM, or Technical).
Experience with Agile delivery frameworks.
Background in consulting or large enterprise transformation projects.
Familiarity with Primavera, EPM Cloud, or related project management platforms.
