Role Purpose
The Junior FCCS Operator will support the Finance team by performing routine master data updates in
Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS)
.
The role mainly involves maintaining
Entity, Currency and Finance Mapping records
, validating setups before close, and executing approved change requests.
This is an execution/support role, not configuration or development.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data Updates (Primary Work)
Create new entities as per approved request forms
Update entity attributes (parent, ownership %, status, consolidation method)
Assign functional and reporting currencies to entities
Update entity hierarchy based on restructuring instructions
Maintain entity naming conventions and codes
Maintain audit log of all changes performed
Finance Mapping Maintenance
Maintain GL/Account mapping between ERP and FCCS chart of accounts
Update mapping for new accounts, cost centers, or business units
Validate mapping before data load cycles
Identify unmapped accounts during data load and inform finance team
Maintain mapping documentation and version history
Coordinate with Finance to confirm correct financial classification (BS vs P&L)
Currency Maintenance
Upload exchange rates based on finance provided templates
Validate currency mapping before period open
Identify missing or invalid currency assignments
Inform finance team of translation errors
Close Cycle Support
Execute pre-close checklist
Validate entity availability for consolidation
Check blocked or inactive entities
Monitor consolidation jobs and report failures
Escalate issues to FCCS Admin team
Operational Tasks
Run scheduled jobs and validations
Perform LCM imports using prepared files
Follow SOPs and runbooks strictly
Coordinate with Finance for approvals
Required Skills
Basic hands-on knowledge of EPM-FCCS
Understand what entity, scenario, period and currency mean in FCCS
Ability to navigate FCCS forms and Smart View
Ability to validate data after load/consolidation
Basic accounting understanding (P&L vs Balance Sheet)
Good Excel skills (lookups, templates, validation)
Attention to detail
Ability to follow SOP driven tasks
(System architecture or rule writing knowledge not required)
Preferred Background
B.Com / BBA / M.Com / MBA Finance
Internship or support experience in
Oracle Corporation EPM / FCCS / Hyperion
Finance operations / MIS / reporting exposure
Experience
1–3 years experience
Freshers with FCCS training/course exposure may apply
