Role: Oracle Database Artchitect

Oracle Database Architect is responsible fto manage, maintain, and optimize our products databases. The DBA will ensure data integrity, security, and availability while supporting business requirements , applications and analytics. This role requires expertise in database design, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
Must Have:
Query Optimization
: Analyze and optimize very complex SQL queries for performance improvements.
Performance Reporting
: Generate and interpret
AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) reports
to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
Conceptual & Logical Design
: Utilize enterprise data modelling tools such as
PowerDesigner/ ERWIN
for conceptual-level database modeling and ensure alignment with logical/physical design.
PL/SQL Development
: Provide strong expertise in PL/SQL programming for stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
Scripting Knowledge
: Develop and maintain scripts for automation, monitoring, and maintenance tasks (e.g., shell scripting, Python, or similar).
Participate in architectural and environment volumetric discussions for new initiatives and business areas based on knowledge gained from benchmarking of the product.
Production Support
: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production environments, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
Ensure database security, user access control, and compliance with policies.
Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Communicate progress and issues through regular Status Reports.
Minimum 11 years of experience in database administration & performance tuning .
Good to have:
Certification of Oracle will be an added advantage .
Understanding of Agile, and ideally a background working in a Scrum environment.
Experience in Product development.
Experience working with Cloud computing services and framework
