Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct thorough assessments of students' motor, sensory, cognitive, and functional abilities.
Identify students who may benefit from occupational therapy and recommend appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special educators to understand the individual needs of students.
Therapeutic Intervention:
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on the assessment results.
Provide one-on-one and small group therapy sessions focusing on improving motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with teachers and the special education team to integrate therapeutic goals into the classroom environment.
Provide training and guidance to teachers and school staff on how to support students’ occupational therapy needs in the classroom.
Documentation and Reporting:
Provide regular updates and reports to the school administration, parents, and the special education team.
Monitor and review students' progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary.
Professional Development:
Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and conferences.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).
Valid OT license or certification as required by local regulations.
Proven experience working with children, preferably in an educational or school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
