Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven
NVH CAE Engineer
to join our CAE Body Performance Development team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical problem‑solving capabilities, leadership qualities, and hands‑on experience in NVH model building & simulations using primarily in NASTRAN, ANSA/META (Optistrut, Hypermesh / Hyperview), and related tools. This role involves supporting clients on vehicle NVH load cases, analyzing results, preparing detailed engineering reports, and recommending design countermeasures to meet or exceed NVH targets.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Simulation Responsibilities:
Handle full‑vehicle and subsystem
NVH load cases
using
Nastran
(SOL101, SOL103, SOL108, SOL111 & SOL200), Opti Strut,
Perform model assembly and integration for:
BIW, Trim BIW, Full vehicle
Body–Powertrain coupling, Structure–fluid coupling
Build and evaluate FE models, ensuring:
High‑quality meshing
Correct material properties
Accurate connections (rigids, bushings, welds, etc.)
Generate
acoustic cavity models
with correct measurement point positioning.
Evaluate and integrate subsystem models from simple to highly complex assemblies.
NVH Analysis Execution
:
Modal Analysis & Modal Alignment
Frequency Response Functions & Direct Response Analysis
Dynamic Stiffness & Road Noise
Vibration Transfer Function & Noise Transfer Function
Powertrain Noise (WOT & IDLE)
Road-Load Conditions & Interior Acoustic Response
Post‑Processing & Interpretation
Identify BIW/TBIW global modes
Interpret FRFs, transfer functions, and dynamic responses
Evaluate
Sound Pressure Levels
(Pa, dB, dB(A))
Conduct Transfer Path Analysis (
TPA
) to identify dominant noise contributors
Project Execution & Client Interaction
Independently lead NVH simulation projects and deliver high‑quality results
Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to clients
Provide structural design countermeasures to achieve NVH performance targets
Communicate with clients on daily simulation activities, deliverables, and decision‑making support
Mentor junior team members and contribute to competency development
Ensure adherence to customer expectations regarding quality, timelines, and technical guidelines
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering
, or related field
Minimum 2-5 years of vehicle-level NVH analysis experience.
Strong understanding of Structural Mechanics, Finite Element Methods, material modelling, connections/contacts, and linear/nonlinear behaviour
Hands‑on experience with:
Pre-processing:
ANSA (preferred) / HyperMesh
Post-processing:
META (preferred) / HyperView
Ability to interpret simulation results including stress-strain, deformation, energy, acceleration, and acoustic metrics.
Analytical mindset with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
Advanced or fluent
English communication skills
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Experience in Statistical Energy Analysis, (Mid & High Frequency Analysis)
Experience in other tools like AVL, GT Suit will be preferred
CAE–physical test correlation experience
Programming/scripting skills:
Python

TCL.
Familiarity with
HPC environments
(clusters, cloud-based simulation platforms)
Experience with other solvers:
Abaqus
