Job Description:
The Network Engineer

is responsible for
the
management, operational support
, troubleshooting,
and maintenance of Russell Investments’ LAN, WAN, and Telephony infrastructure
.

Technical knowledge and experience
with enterprise routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls,
VPN,

Wireless Controllers

Years of Experience
5
years of
demonstrated
hands on experience understanding and integrating existing systems and technologies around enterprise voice and data networks, preferably with Cisco, F5, and Palo Alto products.
3 years of
demonstrated
experience in working with service providers, consultants, and carriers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
, Business, or Engineering
.
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Must have a current CCNA certification
Technology subject matter
expertise
in Network and Telecom areas with the ability to recognize trends
Candidate Requirements
Technical knowledge and experience in routing and switching protocols including TCP/IP, STP, OMP, BGP, TLS/DTLS, MPLS, SD-WAN, and fundamental understanding of network design
Responsibilities
Support the operations, troubleshooting, and implementation of all network infrastructure
Monitor
service

and performance
of network devices and circuits
Incident troubleshooting, escalation, and facilitation
Perform
hardware
upgrades

replacements,

firmware
patching

Participate in internal IT service, change, and request management processes
