We are seeking an experienced Integration Consultant, Senior Associate who will work closely with cross-functional teams—offshore and onshore managers, architects, developers, and business analysts—to deliver robust, scalable integration solutions. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform as the primary integration platform. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and organizational governance frameworks. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Integration Design & Development • Solution Architecture & Design: Lead end-to-end design of integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, defining API-led connectivity patterns, data mapping strategies, and error-handling frameworks. • Mule Application Development & Orchestration: Design, develop, and optimize Mule applications and flows using Anypoint Studio to automate business processes across SaaS, on-premise, and cloud applications (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow, NetSuite, Snowflake, etc.). • API Design & Management: Architect RESTful and SOAP-based APIs using RAML/OAS specifications in Anypoint Design Center; manage API lifecycle through Anypoint API Manager including policies, SLA tiers, rate limiting, and client application management. • Custom Connector & Module Development: Build custom connectors and modules using the MuleSoft SDK (Java-based) for proprietary or niche applications lacking native connector support. • Data Transformation & Mapping: Implement complex data transformations and business logic using DataWeave 2.0. • Event-Driven & Real-Time Integrations: Design event-driven flows using Anypoint MQ, JMS, Kafka connectors, and watermark-based polling. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with offshore/onshore stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specs, and deliver on time. • Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Guide junior developers on MuleSoft best practices, conduct code reviews, and elevate overall team capability. 2. Platform & Technical Expertise • Anypoint Platform Administration: Serve as the platform SME covering Anypoint Platform management including Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange, Design Center, Visualizer, Access Management, and environment configuration (DEV/UAT/PROD). • Application Lifecycle Management: Govern the full application lifecycle—from development through deployment—using Maven, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), and MuleSoft's deployment strategies (CloudHub, CloudHub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, Hybrid). • Anypoint Exchange & Reusability Governance: Establish and enforce reusable asset publishing standards on Anypoint Exchange including API fragments, custom policies, templates, examples. • Error Handling & Monitoring: Design robust error-handling strategies using global/default error handlers, on-error-propagate/continue scopes, and dead-letter queues; leverage Anypoint Monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and log aggregation (ELK/Splunk) for proactive issue detection and resolution. • Security & Compliance: Ensure integrations adhere to enterprise security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, client ID enforcement, IP whitelisting, TLS/mTLS, data masking through custom policies, and compliance with SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA. • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks; leverage threading profiles, streaming strategies, batch processing, object store caching, and connection pooling to improve throughput and efficiency. • On-Premise & Hybrid Deployment: Install, configure, and manage Mule runtimes on-premise, Runtime Fabric on Kubernetes, and hybrid architectures to securely connect to behind-the-firewall systems and legacy applications. • Platform Upgrades & Innovation: Stay current with MuleSoft platform updates, Mule runtime releases, connector enhancements, and Anypoint Platform features; evaluate and recommend adoption to continuously improve the integration landscape. Experiences and Skills You'll Use to Solve Certifications • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) (Required) • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 2 (Strongly Preferred) • MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect – Level 1 (Preferred) • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect – Level 1 (Preferred) • Additional certifications in complementary platforms are a plus (e.g., Workato Automation Pro). Professional Experience • 7–8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application integration, middleware, or iPaaS development, with a minimum of 3–4 years dedicated to MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4). • Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, production-grade integrations using API-led connectivity across complex, multi-system enterprise environments. • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional, globally distributed teams (offshore/onshore delivery models) within Agile or hybrid project methodologies. • Experience integrating with major enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow, NetSuite, Jira, Slack, Snowflake, AWS (S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS), Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform. • Prior experience in a consulting, professional services, or systems integration environment is highly preferred. Technical Skills • MuleSoft Expertise: Deep proficiency in Anypoint Studio, Mule 4 runtime, API-led connectivity (Experience/Process/System APIs), DataWeave 2.0, MUnit, Anypoint MQ, Object Store, Batch Processing, Anypoint Exchange, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and CloudHub/Runtime Fabric deployment. • API & Web Services: Strong command of RESTful API design (RAML/OAS), SOAP web services (WSDL), JSON/XML data formats, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, API gateway policies, rate limiting, and SLA management. • Data & Databases: Working knowledge of SQL and experience integrating with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) using Database Connector, and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). • Integration Patterns & Middleware Concepts: Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware concepts (message queues, ESBs, ETL/ELT). • DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), Maven, and automated deployment. • Messaging & Event Streaming: Experience with Anypoint MQ, JMS, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, and/or AWS SQS/SNS. • File Formats & Protocols: Experience working with CSV, JSON, XML, EDI, SFTP, FTP, HTTP/S, and flat file integrations.
