Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
MRI Accountant
with at least
5 years of progressive accounting experience
, preferably in the
real estate
or
property management
industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with
MRI Software
and will be responsible for the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting for a portfolio of properties or corporate entities.
NOTE- The candidates with Real Estate accounting experience using MRI for the GL Accounting Module can apply, MRI (GL Module) experience is a MUST HAVE.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties using
MRI Software
.
MRI Experience is
MANDATORY
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under GAAP.
Perform
monthly close activities
, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Ensure the
accuracy of general ledger entries
and perform variance analysis.
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries within MRI.
Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and other internal teams to support operational needs.
Assist with
annual budget preparation
and forecasting.
Prepare
audit schedules
and support external audits.
Stay current on industry trends and software updates related to MRI.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
required.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience
, with at least 2 years using
MRI Software
.
Experience in
real estate, property management, or commercial/residential leasing
is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of
GAAP
and internal control principles.
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
