About the Role
We are looking for a
proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Engineer
with experience in
mechanical component sourcing and vendor development
. The role will be responsible for managing
supplier identification, RFQs, cost analysis, and supplier coordination
to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of mechanical parts.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of
manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and die casting
, along with the ability to work closely with
design, quality, and manufacturing teams
.
Experience Required:2–4 Years
Location: Noida
Key Responsibilities
• Source and develop vendors for injection molded parts, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machined components, die casting, extrusions, and standard mechanical parts.
• Float RFQs and prepare comparative cost sheets.
• Perform basic cost breakdown analysis (material, machining, tooling).
• Support negotiations for price and lead time.
• Coordinate with design team for DFM discussions and tooling development tracking.
• Support FAI / pilot run approvals.
• Track supplier quality performance and delivery adherence.
• Develop alternate vendors for critical components.
Required Qualifications
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years experience in mechanical sourcing or manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and basic GD&T; understanding.
• Working knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and die casting.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
