We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Master Data Operator to join our team. The role will take ownership of maintaining Opella’s master data, ensuring high standards of integrity, quality, and consistency across enterprise systems to drive operational effectiveness. This role will work closely with cross‑functional teams including Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Quality, and Digital to support business processes, enhance data governance, and drive continuous improvement in master data management.
The purpose of this role is to:
• Perform the maintenance of Customer Master Data in OPELLA.
• Ensure the master data maintenance process results in the highest level of master data quality.
• Ensure the Service Level Agreement ( SLA ) on master data maintenance is met on regular basis.
• Identify and involve in continuous process improvement in the master data maintenance.
• Resolve master data quality within SLA.
• Perform the Restricted Party Screening ( RPS ) activities to mitigate risk and due diligence.
• Participate in escalation meeting with the RPS Escalation Committee to resolve positive match.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Master Data Governance and Maintenance.
• Create, update, and maintain Customer Master Data in the ERP / MDM systems in compliance with global and local standards.
• Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness according to established SLAs.
• Validate data inputs and resolve data discrepancies or errors.
• Manage mass data creation or updates using standardized workflows/tools.
2. Data Quality Management.
• Monitor data quality KPIs and proactively address data quality issues.
• Perform regular audits, cleansing activities, and data quality checks.
• Identify root causes of data defects and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
3. Data Standards and Policies.
• Ensure adherence to global data definitions, taxonomies, and governance rules.
• Support the development and enhancement of data standards and best practices.
• Train business users on master data processes, policies, and tools.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand Customer Master Data setup requirements.
• Collaborate with Digital to troubleshoot system issues and support enhancements.
• Act as the first point of contact for master data – related inquiries or escalations.
5. Process Improvement and Automation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate master data processes.
• Participate in master data related projects, system upgrades, or MDM initiatives.
• Promote continuous improvement mindset and support global standardization efforts.
6. Compliance, Risk and Audit.
• Maintain audit‑ready operations: documentation, control evidence, change logs, access management, and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR / PDPA, and industry regulations, coordinate with Internal Audit and Risk.
7. Restricted Party Screening (RPS).
• Perform the RPS activities actively and review the positive alerts within the day and resolve them (if needed) within the SLA.
• Maintain the RPS sanction list and keep it up to date.
• Participate in escalation meeting with the RPS Escalation Committee to resolve positive match.
Key Success Metrics (KPIs ).
• Service Performance (SLA ) adherence ≥ 95%, average turnaround time.
• Right-First‑Time Quality ≥ 95%
• Compliance at 100% control execution and evidence, audit findings remediated on time.
• Aging < 5 days.
Background and Experience.
• At least 2 years of Master Data Operations experience is a MUST.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related fields is preferred
• Working knowledge of MDG and SAP is a MUST.
• Experience in Customer Master Data maintenance is a MUST.
• Experience in Restricted Party Screening is an advantage.
• Experience in collaboration with peers and partners across organizations.
• Problem-solving and hands-on skills (investigate requests / problems and recommend solutions to ensure completion of activities within SLA).
• Willingness to learn about multiple disciplines.
• Ability to work with teams globally.
• Take extra initiative on the floor.
• Willingness to be on shift.
• Fluency in English is a must.
